Hedging (opening buy and sell positions on the same or correlated pairs at the same time) is often used to bypass risk management rules like daily or overall loss limits. For example:
Traders may open large opposite positions to trap the market movement.
If one side hits SL and the other hits TP, they try to reset risk artificially.
This manipulation gives a false view of the trader’s true skill or strategy.
Since prop firms are funding traders with real capital after the challenge, we need to ensure that traders are using genuine, consistent, and risk-controlled strategies — not loopholes.
